Honeywell announces 30 series IP cameras to increase building security
Honeywell recently announced the release of 30 Series IP Cameras, a new design of video cameras that enhances building security through advanced analysis and secure channel encryption.
The Honeywell 30 Series IP Cameras are designed for use as part of video systems that comply with the US Government Public Procurement Standards established by the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2019 (NDAA Section 889) correspond. The new cameras will also allow end users to benefit from lower total cost of ownership and lower risk, and improved image quality without increased memory footprint.
Telecommunication equipment
Honeywell is in the field of protection – from buildings to data and people inside.
NDAA Section 889 prohibits the US government from obtaining video and telecommunications equipment from certain companies and their subsidiaries. Many end-of-government security end users also strive to comply with these regulations.
Ever stricter requirements
Honeywell 30 Series IP Cameras are available in dome, ball, ball and fisheye models that:
Secure Channel Encryption: The new cameras not only allow end users to comply with NDAA Section 889, but also provide HTTP over TLS1.2 (HTTPS) encrypted streaming to Honeywell MAXPRO Network Video Recorders (NVR).
They also comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Together, these elements help meet the ever-stricter requirements of IT departments to protect businesses from unauthorized access and unsanctioned distribution of data and video – potentially saving end users up to $ 3.86 million. average global cost of a privacy breach.
Traditional motion detection
Advanced motion detection: Conventional motion detection detects only pixel changes, resulting in a higher false alarm rate. Advanced motion detection has been developed to reduce false alarm rates because they only trigger an alarm when the moving object is recognized as a person.
Improved storage and image quality: Higher camera resolutions of up to 5MP provide exceptional images and a user-friendly interface for secure remote viewing. The H.265 intelligent codec feature lets you store longer clips, reduce bandwidth consumption, and save up to 50% less storage space, reducing operating costs.
Access control management
The new camera line is fully integrated with HTTPS encrypted streaming with MAXPRO® Network Video Recorders. They can also be used with Performance Embedded NVRs linked to the MAXPRO Cloud multi-site video and access control management platform and the ADPRO XO series of NVRs with integrated video analytics.
With advanced analysis and encryption capabilities, Honeywell 30 series IP cameras offer a range of quality options for all small to medium businesses, entry-level businesses, and critical applications where compliance is essential, such as: Banking and Finance, Government, Utilities, Campus, Retail and Premium Commercial.
